Terms of Use
PeerScience Terms of Use · Last updated: 2 October 2026
1.Who we are. PeerScience is currently in a test phase and is run by its founding team as a private, non-commercial project. Contact: contact@peerscience.io. When a company is established to operate PeerScience, we will update this policy, transfer the platform, including accounts and published content, to that company, and notify registered users.
2. What PeerScience is. An open platform for publishing scientific manuscripts with double-blind peer review. It is not a traditional journal. Publication means that reviewers on the platform have assessed the work; we do not endorse the content of any article.
3. Accounts. Use your real name and affiliation (institution or organisation). One account per person. Verified authors whose articles have been approved by reviewers and published on PeerScience may automatically receive reviewer rights in the categories of those articles. Until this is in place, we grant reviewer rights after checking your expertise, based on your publications elsewhere. We may withdraw reviewer rights.
4. Publication and openness. The author decides whether and when to publish. After publication, the article, all its versions, all reviewer reports and the names of authors and reviewers are public and remain on the platform permanently. A published article can be withdrawn by its author; it then stays visible with a withdrawal notice and reason, to provide transparency. Published articles are not removed at the author’s request and remain publicly available, except where removal is required by law or under section 7.
5. Licence. You keep the copyright in your work. Published articles and reviews are released under CC BY 4.0. You also allow us to host, display, format and archive your content.
6. Your responsibilities. Submit only work you have the right to publish, with the agreement of all co-authors. Disclose conflicts of interest and funding. Obtain required ethics approvals and consents. Do not include information that could identify patients or research participants. No plagiarism, fabricated data, fake identities or manipulation of review. Reviewers keep manuscripts confidential until publication.
7. Removal. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law. To report a problem: support@peerscience.io.
8. No warranties. The platform is provided as is and may be temporarily unavailable. We are not responsible for the accuracy of published content. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
9. Law and changes. These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. We will notify registered users of material changes in advance.
